I beg of you, before you buy your new puppy or kitten think very carefully about where that puppy or kitten has come from, who its parents are and what their lives are like.
I know how tempting it is to purchase a cute little puppy or kitten from a pet shop window but please don’t do it. Please stop to consider where all those puppies and kittens come from. As if it isn’t bad enough that the meat that is purchased by those who eat it is more than likely intensive farmed, now and for many years the majority of our domestic pets are also produced in this way. This cruel and unnecessary practice can be stopped and one way of doing this is to cut off the demand and we can all participate in this by being very mindful of where we purchase our pets. There are many alternatives, therefore no need to buy from pet shops, On line or from the print media.
I’m no expert on the subject, I have simply have made it my business to look into this as a matter of interest and because I want every animal to have the best life possible and not become a victim of human greed and exploitation. Furry Friends Holiday Helper provide a professional and stimulating dog walking service. We do not provide group dog walks, instead we give each clients dog/s individual attention during our time with them. Each dog needs a different exercise level, older dogs need a gentle walk with lots of stopping and sniffing where as younger dogs love to have a brisk walk or jog. Because the safety of the pets in our care is paramount we do not allow dogs to walk off lead while in our care.
When we take your dog for a walk we are ever mindful of his or her safety. We never allow your dog to walk in areas where there could be any danger and we are always on the look out for anything that could cause problems. When in our care your dog is never left unattended. When we return home we check that your dog has plenty of cool, fresh water before leaving.
